This morning we woke up to this:
What? Where did fall go? A reminder that much of life seems to just be rushing by, with little introspection or reflection here recently, and not nearly enough laughing at myself.
Quote of the week nomination: "Is the lunch just for family? Or can friends come too?" - Neighbor girl, as I'm trying to figure out how thin the post-baptism luncheon soup can reasonably be.
And Halloween? I never shared my Halloween masterpiece with the world... (Okay, make that Blogburn readership, which is at this point, what? Carrie?)
J was a parrot, to N's pirate. I was feeling pretty creative until we got in line at the costume contest behind another pirate/parrot pair.

Wow! I'm flattered by your dedication, and for once, jealous of the weather in Dallas.
I visit too! I really can't believe Sam is eight. He was the cutest baby/toddler ever. I remember him first walking in Philly and him "sleeping over" at our house while you and Phil went out. He was constantly cracking us up with his comments and sweet voice. I remember how when he was really excited about things (Disney Cars) he'd have a hard time getting his words out. Cutest little boy ever.
The cutest parrot ever! I love it. Hope you are well and staying warm. I do not miss living up north at all!
I'm a reader too, and I love the parrot costume. She kind of looks like an angry bird.
