It happens to everyone

But somehow it doesn't make it any easier. After school today, S was very frustrated by the smallest things. I asked if something happened at school and he started to cry. He said that his two "best friends" wouldn't let him play today. Broke my heart.

I want to beat them up too. And I just keep hoping that my kids never do that to anyone.

So sad! The only solace you can find is that he wasn't the kid excluding others.

Life lessons are hard. Maybe even more so when it's your child learning them.

Man that's the pits. Luckily kids are fickle--I bet they will want him to play tomorrow . . . or the next day? I just hate that. Makes me want to cry too.

Speaking of slights--I have a niece (last name Sleight--pronounced "slight") moving to India for 6 months with her husband and baby. Could you talk her out of . . . . I mean, talk to her about it? I don't know that my email address for you is current. Does kac****** still work? Or will you email me and I'll send you her address. Thanks.

I had very few worries about kindergarten (shocking I know), but this was my biggest one.. kids being mean.

Tell S Lulu will play with him any day.
