January. Blah.

I find January a depressing month. Cold and dark outside. Here all the snow has melted, leaving only brown mud behind. Nothing to look forward to except new episodes of Biggest Loser. Significantly less busy than I've been the last few months, feeling unproductive and unmotivated. Plenty of time to blog, but nothing worth sharing.

I've noticed that my view is a good attitude barometer.

At times the view out my back window is pretty dramatic, and on days when I'm feeling optimistic, I look outside and see the mountains and the way the light comes through the clouds. On days when I'm feeling rather more January, I look out and I see the neighbors fence and the expanse of brown between here and the mountains.

Hey, well at least you have a European vacation to look forward to. How's the planning coming along? Did you decide where you're going to go? Have you checked out vrbo for apts? From personal experience, apts. are much better to rent than hotel rooms! Let me know if you have any questions about anything.

My point exactly TX Girl.

We are going to visit Marinda (who happens to be P's sister) in Warsaw(and will probably manage Budapest and Prague as well). We are taking the kids. Yes, we are crazy.

OK. To be a bit nose-y.

I just saw the Warsaw comment!!

I had a niece and a nephew who just returned from their missions in Warsaw.

Small world!! Do tell, why are they there.

James Loosli, and Sydney Pritchett are my niece and nephew. So fun.

How do you have a neice and nephew that went on a mission together? That sounds very unmormon...

My brother in law is in the army and is working towards?studying to be? (no idea what the terminology is) a foreign service officer.
