Front Page News

The below the fold headline in Tuesday's Sun Advocate, the local paper, was in HUGE font: Shopping Cart Consternation. Really.

Brings back the chaos of India, doesn't it?

I was particularly moved by the last paragraph where we should stop and think about the person who may not be able to have food to survive if we leave our cart in their parking spot.

I am now resolved to doing my civic duty better.

(Sorry, that last comment didn't work out!)

Ah, the hubbub of city life . . .

Seriously, I don't think I have EVER seen a handicapped spot clogged up with shopping carts! And the honest truth is that Price has more handicapped spots per capita than any other city on the face of the earth. Period. That is the most laughable thing about the whole article, anyway!

Oh, holy cow. I know I've lived here too long when my blood gets pumping over a ridiculous article like that. Mental note to self . . . 'must send out 5 extra resumes this week' . . .

Hammy,

I'm impressed that you read it to the final paragraph. I had to quit at the quote from the police officer, "No one's ever asked that question before."

Wow. Not much going on out there? What sort of desperation would drive a news organization to put up an article like that? But the photograph! It is absolutely RIVETING. RI- VET -ING. Pulitzer material; really.

Come back home, please?
